Private Ballet (Yuka Omori)
Price includes four 30 minute lessons. Lessons are 30 minutes long, but may be taken consecutively.
Yuka has studied with Ayako Takagi, Tatsuo Kasuya, Noriyasu Ikegame and Yoko Ota in Japan, as well as traveling abroad to study at The Royal Winnipeg Ballet School in Canada, and The Rosella Hightower School in Cannes, France after she received a silver medal in the Itabashi Ballet Competition. She has also worked on a number of film projects, being chosen to perform in George Balanchine’s Minkus Pas de Trois for a film project for The Balanchine Foundation, as well as a variati on choreographed by Rosella Hightower for a film of the French Ballet Examination at Paris Opera Ballet. Yuka lived and performed in the US since 2001, dancing soloist and principal roles with David Taylor Dance Theatre, Corpus Christi Ballet, Oakland Ballet, Minnesota Dance Theatre and New Jersey Ballet. In addition, she attended Open World Dance Foundation’s Vaganova Teacher Training Course, studied with Ludmila Safrova who studied with Agrippina Vaganova. She is also a certified Pilates Mat instructor. Her primary concern for her class is to help the dancer use correct body placement, as well as focusing on the coordination of the head, port de bras and musicality.
