ROSS ART MUSEUM MURAL
front of 60 South Sandusky Street
Part of a larger project, the mural was the final installation in Director Erin Fletcher’s “Inside/Outside” series which put exhibits in non-traditional places to bridge connections between campus and community. Award-winning Columbus artist, Queen Brooks, painted
the mural on the museum’s accessibility ramp in 2018, with the assistance of artist Shelbi Harris. Brooks likes to work intuitively, creating while she works. “I know that within the image there is
going to be a bridge. That was something that when I talked to people in the community…kept coming out: the connection of bridges.”
