OWU’s Richard M. Ross Art Museum enriches the community and the university by mounting exhibitions of artists from around the world. Exhibition openings are campus events, where students mingle with faculty and artists, experiencing firsthand the world and work of
professional artists. The permanent collection housed at the Ross Art Museum includes more than 2500 works that are used in exhibitions, teaching and research and focuses largely on works on paper—primarily American and European prints, drawings, and photographs,
but also includes 3D objects and works such as paintings on canvas.
