The hallmark of our programming is to provide quality instruction in the arts, with a wide range of creative experiences, at an affordable price. On average, The Arts Castle offers over 80 classes each quarter, which include painting, drawing, dance, music, ceramics, jewelry and metalworking, theater, and much more.
spotlight
kids creations

Ages 3 to 6
Get messy, have fun, and be creative! With a focus on the process and the experience of art, students will be introduced to the basic art elements as well as develop fine motor skills. New projects will be created each session. Three-year-olds must be accompanied by an adult; adult volunteers welcome. Class offsite 12/7; more details to come. Dress for mess!

-Fax a registration form to 740.363.2733.
-Mail a registration form to The Arts Castle, 190 W. Winter St., Delaware, OH 43015.
-Visit The Arts Castle during office hours, Monday - Friday from 9am to 5pm.

registration policies
Payment
Advance registration is required to take all classes. Registration for classes is on a first-come, first-served basis. The Arts Castle accepts Visa, MasterCard, checks, or cash. Please make checks payable to THE ARTS CASTLE. Registration is not complete without payment in full.
class cancellation

Early registration helps insure that classes will run. Registration continues until classes are filled or the registration deadline passes. We may accept registrations after the published deadline for classes that have met our minimum registration requirements. The Arts Castle reserves the right to cancel classes if the need arises; you will be notified if your class must be cancelled. The Arts Castle also reserves the right to substitute teachers for classes without notice.

Class cancellations due to inclement weather will be announced on radio stations 610 WTVN (AM) and Sunny 95 WSNY (AM/FM) and on TV channels 4, 6 and 10. Schools may be closed but we may be open (or vice versa.) Check to be sure.

Senior Discounts/
financial aid

Senior citizens (65 and over) are eligible to pay the member fee.

Scholarships are available for students who qualify, based on financial need. Scholarships are awarded every quarter. Applications may be mailed, faxed, or dropped off at the Castle before the deadline. Click here for an application.

By registering, you hereby grant and give this organization and its partner organizations the right to use your photograph or your child’s photograph or image with or without your name or your child’s name, both singly and in conjunction with other persons or objects, for any and all purposes including, but not limited to, private or public presentations, advertising, publicity, and promotion.

Also, you hereby, for yourself, your heirs, executors, and administrators, waive and release any and all rights and claims for damages you or your child may have against this organization and its partner organizations, representatives, successors, and assigns for any and all injuries suffered by yourself or your child during any activity sponsored by these groups.

refund policy

For cancellations up to the close of business on the registration deadline, a $10 processing fee is retained. A refund of 50% of the course fee will be given if a student withdraws before 2 business days prior to the first day of the course. Due to contractual obligations, The Arts Castle will be unable to refund class fees after this time. Fees may not be carried over to the next session. Class credit will not be given.

Except by special request, student artwork will not be retained past the end of the quarter. Ceramic artwork must be removed by the posted deadline.

Arts Enrichment All Day

Ages 5 to 12 (Grades K-6)
Painting. Drawing. Acting. Dancing. Making. Imagining. Creating. Time off from school = time for painting and crafts, time for hip hop, time for theatrics. This is a full day of the arts! Bring a nonperishable lunch, drink, snack, water bottle, and a smock or T-shirt that can get messy; dress in clothes that allow easy movement (wear pants; no denim).

Giddy Up, Lil’ Cowboys and Cowgirls!

Saddle up for a trip to the “Wild West!” Each little cowpoke needs a cowboy hat and a good horse-- so we will make them! Then mix up a little trail mix to enjoy! Caregiver participation encouraged. Mention allergies at registration. Dress in favorite “wild west” attire.

Scribble and Smudge
Ages 5 to 9
Paint, rub, dab, and smear! Learn how different lines, colors, and textures can create moods and feelings. Students will create an outdoor drawing inspired by the great impressionist painters as well as an abstract batik fabric piece. Dress for mess!

Hip Hoppers
Grades K-2 (Ages 5-7)
For both boys and girls with the commitment for a 32-week program. This is an introductory, high-energy class. Focus will be on coordination, stamina, rhythm, strength, athleticism, and style.

*Teen/Adult Lyrical & Modern
Age 11-Adult
This class is to allow students to explore both lyrical and modern technique. Both forms are based on ballet, but allow for more freedom of movement. Focus will be on grounded movement, flowing style and expression. Previous dance experience recommended. No dance shoes required; we will dance in bare feet.

dance design

Ages 7 to 17
Through improv games we will explore time, space, and energy and discover what it is like to be a choreographer. Students will create their own dance piece and perform the work-in-progress for friends and family during the last class. This class is great for potential Dance Company members who wish to do a solo in the winter concert, though all are welcome. Wear clothes that allow easy movement. Ballet or jazz shoes, or bare feet.
